Most people do not believe in hell but see their self as a good person that is a child of God & a friend of Jesus though they reject the mercy of His death?
The Bible says all above the age of accountability will spend all eternity in the torment of hell: Unless they believe in the death & mercy of Jesus to forgive their sin to reconcile them to God.
The criteria is not being good but being in a relationship with Jesus thru believing in His death & receiving His mercy to pay for God’s wrath in order to be: God’s child. In His family. In Heaven.
No matter how good a person is, without a relationship with Jesus:
God is their Creator but not their Father. The devil is their father. They’ll be tormented in hell forever. With: No water. No rest. No peace. No safety. No tolerable temperatures. Torment & misery. None of God’s prosperity, blessing, protection & provision. The complete absence of God.
Imagine one finds the most beautiful home in the world & knocks until the door opens
& then says: “I’m a good person.
I’ve come to move in & live with you.” They will refuse entrance because there is no relationship with you & they don’t know you.
There’re no wicked among those who seek & receive God’s mercy. Pray with me. Jesus’ll save you:
“Jesus, have mercy on me a sinner. I repent of my sin & ask You to forgive me. I believe in my heart & confess with my mouth that You’re Lord & paid the penalty for my sin by dying on the cross & were raised from the dead. Holy Spirit, live inside of me & teach me to trust & obey You. God is my Father. Heaven’s my home. Jesus is my Savior. The Spirit is my Teacher. Amen”
