As per the Bible what’s the main reason to pray & fast?

Fasting helps us to humble ourselves before God & to grow closer to God in love & humility by decreasing intake of physical food & increasing reliance on God & His word:

Helping our hearts be more tender to His love & presence. It’s a way of seeking God’s provision, protection, leading & reversal to victory in crises.

Ps 35:13; Joel 2:12-17,28-32; Isa 58:6-14 “I humble myself with fasting…Turn to Me…with fasting…Let the priests say, Spare Your people O Lord…I will pour out My Spirit…whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved…break every evil yoke…your light shall break forth…healing shall spring forth speedily…you shall call, the Lord will answer

…the Lord will guide you…you shall be called… the restorer”

(104 months) Apr 2-9 or 2-23 2026 each month thru 7/2032-(Luke 2:36-38) There’s between 50,000 & 500,000 Annas in the prayer hubs we pray with. We pray for between 100 million & 1 billion by end of July 2032.
