Accountability linked to elders gives sheep & shepherds a path to repent, reconcile & be restored. If one rebels & persists in sin one may be removed until one submits to the path to: repent, reconcile & be restored. This process protects, whether sheep or shepherd, from accusations when sin is Biblically resolved.
