Question, Answer & Prayer:

Humility is confusing. Jesus said: “Apart from Him I can do nothing.” Paul said: “I can do all things thru Jesus strength” But in sports we play to beat the other team not be humble?

John 6:38- Jesus says, “I have come…not to do My own will, but the will of (My Father)” Jesus said the goal is not by outcomes of comparison. The goal is: exert all your strength to please God in all you do & to trust God for the outcome.

Humility in a little song bird is not to beat the other song birds and get more votes on “The Voice.” Humility is for the bird to see himself as “nothing in a good way” in the light of the glory of God but to do his best to please God in line with the beautiful song that God created the song bird to sing.

The glory of the song bird is not beating other song birds.

It is singing as God designed.

Humility is not faith in my ego. Humility is letting my bad kind of self-centered ego die so that I can put a good kind of faith in the strength of Christ. I say no to my self when it tries to do things apart from Jesus. I say yes to my new-self doing all I can to please God and what’s best for my loved ones and leave the outcome to God.

Galatians 2:20 “I’ve (my old man) been crucified with Christ. It’s no longer I who live but Christ who lives in me (relying 100% on Jesus). The life I live in the flesh I live by faith in God’s Son who loved me & gave Himself for me”
