Questions, Answers & Prayer:

What’s a good way to tell if it’s the Holy Spirit speaking to you or a different spirit speaking to you?

Is it consistent with the written word of God? Test it to see if it is true, good & from God, based on the facts & God’s word. Do you have peace, stillness, quiet & calm in your spirit about it? Do you have peace, stillness, quiet & calm when you plan to act on it?

Ask God for discernment. Inquire once more, as David did, to see if there is anything else God wants to say about it. Don’t act on it or speak it until all restlessness is gone. Wait till you are completely still, peaceful, calm & quiet before you act on it. If you stay restless don’t ever accept it as true or act on it. Don’t move at the initiative of the devil. Move at the Spirit’s peaceful, still, quiet, calm initiative. God will keep you in perfect peace if your mind is set on Him & it is from Him.

“Lord, strengthen me to hunger to know You. Teach me to self examine my motives & test my thoughts, feelings & sensations against the written word of God & determine whether they are true, good & from God. Guide me to test each thing & my motives in this way before I act on them. Teach me to find peace & to overcome restlessness in Your presence. Lead me by the Spirit

to say & do only things that resist the devil & please You. Amen”
