Eph 5:25-27; John 15:3; 1 John 1:7; 1 Thes 5:23; 2 Peter 1:4; John 17:17 “Christ also loved the church & gave Himself for her, that He might sanctify & cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, that He might present her to Himself…not having spot or wrinkle…holy…& without blemish… You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you… the blood of Jesus…cleanses us from all sin… May the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely…your whole spirit, soul & body… Jesus…His divine power has given to us all things…by which have been given to us…precious promises, that thru these you may be partakers of the divine nature.. Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.”

Father, have mercy on us, sinners. Thank You, Lord, for the two purifying effects of Your Word: cleansing & sanctification. We thank & praise You, first, for cleansing us from all that is unclean & impure as You separate us from sin by faith. Second, for making us partakers of the divine nature by faith. Thank You for sanctifying us by Your truth as we continually receive & apply the promises of Your word by faith. Amen”
