A friend hurt by a believer is confused & questioning his faith.

What’s the mindset to help him?

First, to love & respect each other. You’re a friend who can ask questions & seek what’s true & error with him: Stay in right relationship so you can agree to disagree when needed & so you can understand each other.

Second, do your best to agree to help each other to seek & find the truth in order to know God better & love Him more; rather than seeking to avoid the truth in order to turn away from God. Your friend must decide which.

1 Peter 3:15; Col 3:12-17 “Always be ready to give a defense to all who ask you a reason for the hope that is in you… Put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness…bearing with one another, forgiving one another…put on love…let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts with grace in your hearts”

“Lord, You know the pain, fear & confusion that has led my friend to be torn between seeking to submit to You & truth & seeking to submit to please self. I ask Your Spirit to convict him of sin & lead him to seek You & turn to You. Heal all of his wounds. Guide me to love him as You love me. Express Your goodness, wisdom & strength thru me to him. I trust You & ask You to bring him back to You. May the beauty of Your love shine on him thru me. Amen”
