My time talking to God is up & down & inconsistent. At times I enjoy it & it’s touches my imagination & creativity. At other times it’s dry & I feel nothing. What am I doing wrong?

I don’t think you’re doing anything wrong. You’re being sincere & honest. You ‘re finding out how talking to God is like talking to a best friend. We don’t always feel like it. But because we love our best friend & feel seen, heard & valued we enjoy it!

Based on Isa 56:7 “Even them I will bring to (Me)…& make them joyful in My house of prayer”

“Lord, teach me to share my heart with You as I do with my best friend so that You can refresh my heart. I yield to You as Lord: Stand in Your grace.  Rely on Your strength so I can You tell of both my frustrations & desires. Resist the devil. Confess my sin to you & to my friend. Help me draw strength from You. Amen”
