A reminder to pray, as one, for all; loved ones, believers, local churches, marriages, families, nations, Ukraine, Russia, those in authority & for Israel’s peace.

Questions, Answers & Prayer:

How do you worship an idol & how does it block mercy?

An idol is giving a thing a level of value, love & loyalty above God. When your heart faces the idol, you’re giving your back to God.

Can you give me an example?

Love God, above all, as your primary blessing & things like joy & peace will overflow as one of many secondary blessings.

Conversely, seek happiness above all, & you’re worshipping the idol of happiness, unawares.

Where is this Biblical command?

“You shall have no other gods before Me (Exodus 20:3).”

…The one to love God most?

“Love God with your whole heart (Matthew 22:37).”

Can a prayer help sort this out?

“Father, strengthen me to define: My relationship with You as my, only, primary blessing.

You as the source of all other secondary blessings in my life.”

“Help me commit to the process of putting my relationship with you, first, & then setting goals & making plans for church, family, work, & every area; that’ll help me & others to grow in love.”

“Father, You’re my source & my primary blessing. My identity & success is defined by the fact that You made me, love me & I love You back. Strengthen me to see & experience: How You delight in me & rejoice over me. How Your love flows back to You, to me & to others. Amen.”
