Questions, Answers & Prayer:

God decided to send Jesus to give all mankind a chance to be saved by grace: Which is God doing for us what we can’t do for ourselves. Once saved, God allows His people as a group to collaborate with Him thru humbling our souls in fasting (Joel 2:1-32) so we can repent & be revived in a crisis. Doing for us what we can’t do for ourselves. But does God give the same promise to one person in a crisis?

In Psalm 69 David expresses deep distress pleading for God’s help in a time of overwhelming individual crisis. The decisive turning point is Ps 69:10 “When I wept & chastened my soul with fasting.” In Ps 69:11-36 God does for David & for every one in a crisis thru partnering in fasting what one cannot do for oneself:

Adapt Ps 69:1-36 Save me God…waters…to my neck. Sinking mud…I can’t rise…weary…eyes dim…waiting…outnumbered…my enemies…by hate…lies…save me God…answer me…I wept & chastened my soul with fasting…deliver me…I’m in trouble…hear me speedily…let Your salvation set me on high…I’ll praise God…magnify Him…the humble shall see…seek God & live…the Lord hears the poor…heaven & earth praise Him…God will save…His servants shall inherit…those who love His name dwell in it. Amen”

“Father, I humble my soul under Your loving & mighty hand. Release all of Your fasting promises thru me as rivers of living water to my grandchildren, children, family, loved ones, all authority, Israel, U.S & all. (Isa 58:6-14;Joel 2:1-32) Amen.”
